1-Lentils 1/4 cup (170 calories)
2-Onion 50g (20 calories)
3-Celery 100g( 12 calories)
4-Carrots 100g (40 calories)
5-Garlic cloves 3
7-Salt 1/2 tsp
8-Water 5 cups
Chop all the vegetables similar size.
Put all the ingredients ,beside the seasoning,in a medium size pot.
Put the pot over a medium size burner in high heat setting.
Boil for 40 minutes with the pot covered half way.
After 40 minutes add the seasoning .
Boil for another 5 minutes.
Turn off the stove and cover the pot completely.
Let it stand covered for another 15 minutes before you serve.
Yields almost 3 cups of lentils soup.
