Plain cooked quinoa

1-Quinoa 1cup (640 calories)
2-Water 2cups
Directions
Put the quinoa and water in a uncovered medium pot over a medium size burner, high heat setting. Bring to boil ,around 4-5 minutes.
Soon it reaches the boiling point lower the heat to the lowest heat setting. Cover the pot completely and let it cook until water is completely evaporated , around 13 minutes.
Take he cover off and let it cool.
Makes 4 cups of cooked quinoa.
1 cooked cup (160 calories)
As a side note : I usually use 1/2 cup cooked quinoa for whatever I need so it comes down to 80 calories for half cup
I freeze the quinoa the same way as I do with the rice.
