French toast anyone? Yes , you can have this kind of breakfast and still lose weight. This is a delicious way to start the day. Your taste buds & tummy will thank you. When your family enjoyes French Toast breakfast you don’t have to be left out. Just watch your plate because they may want to get some 🙂
- 2 Slices Whole grain bread
- 1 Egg
- 1/4 tsp Cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp Vanilla extract
- Calories : Whole grain bread – 240, honey -70
Toppings : 1.5 tbsp of cashews vanilla sauce – 55 calories. To find the recipes of cashews sauce put the recipe name on the “ Search”.
Frozen berries 70 g – 35 calories . I like to cut the berries in smaller pieces and defrosted them in microwave for 30 seconds. You also can defrost them in the fridge overnight. You can use fresh berries also but in this recipe I prefer the frozen berries since they become more juicy once they are defrosted.
1-Mix the egg with 3tbsp of water in a large dish. In this time you can mix also the cinnamon & vanilla extract.
2- Deep both sides of the breads in egg mixture. Keep on repeating until no more egg mixture left on the dish.
3-Put the slices of bread in a baking pan covered with parchment paper as seen on the picture below.
4- Heat the oven 550 degrees. Put the baking pan in the oven and bake for 5 minutes.
Turn the slices of bread over and bake another 5 minutes. Take out and serve as seen in the above picture.
