Quick pancakes topped with berries- 365 calories

Great way to start the day with quick pancakes that are good for the body and mind . The pancake ingredients are filling and nutritious for the body. The pancakes look appealing, which is important for our brain since we eat with our eyes first. When we feel satisfied with what we are eating we have better chance sticking to our healthy food choices since we don’t feel deprived.

Ingredients

  • 3 Tbsp Almond flour
  • 1 Tbsp Ground Chia seed
  • 1 Tbsp Pancake mix flour
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/4 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 6 Tbsp Water
  • 3/4 cup Frozen berries

Direction

1- Mix well together all ingredients , except frozen berries.
2- Put a NONSTICK pan over a medium size burner on medium high heat setting.
3- Fill a tablespoon with the pancake mix and put it on the pan. Make six pancakes all together, one tablespoon each.
4- Cook 4 minutes on each side.
5- Defrost the berries by putting them in microwave around  one minute, less or more, depends on the microwave. You also can defrost them overnight on the fridge. Put the berries over the pancakes. If you like the berries  more sweeter you can sprinkle some powdered sugar on top of the berries or add a tablespoon of cashew sauce

Calories: Almond flour 135, chia seeds 60, pancake flour 30, egg 70, berries 70 . Total calories 365
